I don't see why you would bet the turn unless you're calling a shove. Check behind and call any river or bet/call on the turn.

Another thing, I just realized, recently, 2+2ers focus on pot-control way too much and weight it (sometimes) more than straight playing hand's value. This problem happens to me a lot too. I think we should re-evaluate pot-control vs playing "ABC" and get max hand value. Good thinking players (especially when playing against bad ones) sometime don't get max value of hand when weight potsize-control way over hand value, sometimes,we even get bluffed too much.

This hand is a typical one.

ok, so then what do you want to do on this turn?

b/f is so gross, esp if villian is capable of doing it without a J+

What are we putting villian on that makes calling push correct? Ever? I mean seriously - this is live poker, not internet poker, and people are like, never folding on the turn after putting 40% of their stack in on the turn. He knows this, so why are we still so adamant about calling? How are we good more than 25% of the time here? He's not doing this with some [censored] draw. Either he thinks he has the best hand with whatever pair because he thinks I'm bluffing for whatever reason or he has my nuts kicked in with 66, 77, or Jx.

Ah crap, you just put me on tilt. Luckily, I don't remember any hands that will haunt me, because I played with Bryan too without realizing who he is. You'll probably be on tilt too after reading this next sentence:

If I'm not mistaken, Bryan Sumner is B Buddy.

If you put all streets (pf, flop, turn) actions together when reading hand, it always help. In this hand, why wouldn't he lead the flop with Jack to see where he's at? If he has a Jack and check/call the flop for pot-control, why he c/r you off on the turn?? Two actions conflict with each other from one player.

A typical Jack would 1. lead out flop and may check/call the turn or 2.lead out flop, under bet the turn.... His line - check/call flop and check/raise turn is air or AA (given our hand is KK), but AA would re-raise pf most of time. OK, this time, it's HU so no need to rr. But AA is just one of the range. You put in most of your chips and believe your hand was good, stick with that first instinct and move-in.

He plays his hand badly because you come along on the turn again, that's not a bluff and he should know his hand the bad.
