Default Getting back my explosevness

First just to give you an idea for my body type im 6'2 and around 205.

In highschool I felt like I was a pretty good athlete playing varsity basketball and football for 3 years (starting 2 and 1 respectively). 2 years removed I still play basketball with my friends but its much more competitive than a pickup game bc all of us played at a pretty competitive level earlier in our lives. When in highschool I had a great first step and good jumping ability. I used to be able to dunk with relative ease and make breaks on balls with no problem. Now, I feel like I have lost my step I can no longer speed up and slow down as fast and cant dunk unless no ones within 15 feet of me and I have a running start. How do I regain the explosiveness I once had? Are there any drills you guys recommend?

Squats and plyos. This is a pretty good article with some links to specific routines: http://www.higher-faster-sports.com/...aljumpfaq.html

I'd say you're just weak. Get stronger.

The legs are the first to go when you get old. Welcome to the club.

You have to keep up on speed. It's a sort of neuro-muscular honing that you can lose. Going back and expecting the same speed is like trying to step into the same river twice.
