Re: Saudi Arabia - to go, or not to go
Duke,
Tons of my friends go to Singapore all the time on business and all love it. A number have set up their Asian operations out of Singapore. |

Re: Saudi Arabia - to go, or not to go
I'm a gay Jewish Wahabbist bootlegger. I get on fine - they just don't know what to make of me.

Re: Saudi Arabia - to go, or not to go
My uncle lived in Saudi Arabia for several years.
He, uh, ran through a stale yellow light - and turned red when he was in the intersection.. and for this got tossed in prison. Prison, as he said was basically a large, gymnasium sized room with a phone at one end, and a bathroom at the other end that you probably wouldn't want to use if you didn't have to. Rats, infestation, you name it. The line to the phone was very long - and you can't get yourself out of prison... you have to call someone to either bring you food (they don't give you any if you're there for the long haul)... or someone has to come on your behalf to get you out. Anyone could choose to stab you or harass you for pretty much anything they wanted. my suggestion: don't break any laws. Have a friend that can bail your ass out if you need to. |
