Default Flop trips, facing a serious raise

3rd hand of a live MTT NLHE Shootout, $120 buy-in, 120 runners. All stacks still effectively 3,000. Blinds 25/25, MP opens for 75, Cut-off calls. Folded to hero in BB who calls with 5d 6d.
Flop comes 5s, Ks, 5h. Hero checks, MP bets 125 into 250 pot, Cut-off folds, hero calls. Turn is 9s, Hero donks 500 into 500 pot, MP raises to 2000, leaving 800 behind. Comments on all streets welcome.

That looks like a spade draw, maybe AK or AA with the ace of spades. I like to lead out on the flop with the trips, especially with a 2 suited board. If he has AK or AA you'll probably get raised and likely have a better idea where you are in the hand.
Since it's a shootout I'd just stick it in and hope, I think the 500 turn bet committed you. if it's a freezout, your decision is tougher.
