Bengals? They're 3-6 against the spread. Pretty hard to be underrated if the public and the odds-makers keep giving you too much credit.

The Patriots are 8-1 against the spread. They must be underrated.

Well the Dolphins might go down in history as like "worst team ever" when they're not even the worst team in the league (seriously, 49ers, no doubt).

[/ QUOTE ]

They're not even the worst team in their own division.

I'm not saying Miami is good, I'm saying...well...exactly what JoA said. They're bad, but they're not as bad as people want to think.

Over the course of the season. But before they beat the Ravens last week, I swear I read about 50 posts that said "the Bengals are terrible blah blah blah", and then they 4.5 point dogs to the Ravens despite the Ravens being atrocious.

The Bengals are a 7-9ish team.

Now they're not, but I think you could make a case that the Pats were underrated at the beginning of the year. I'm not saying they SHOULD have been rated so highly, just that they have played much better this year than anybody could have imagined.

Yeah, I suppose it's possible that they're underrated at the moment, but people seem to have a hard on for the Bengals in general. Probably because people focus too much on offensive skill players, and the Bengals' skill players are awesome.

not that underrated everyone knows they are good but this season they have had a glaring weakness in the running game which is never good as the season grows on. I am not surprised they shut out the Vikings because they have proved to be too one dimensional this year, and there Pass defense is weak.

it's hard to tell with the Packers because we haven't played any elite teams yet (Dallas/NE/Indy -- maybe Pitt).

That said, I'd confidently rank my top 10 like this:

1. NE
2. Dal
3. Indy (Dal and Indy are essentially interchangeable)
4. Pitt
5. GB
6. NYG
7. Jax
8. SD
9. Tenn
10. Cleveland
