Default Line check vs. a Loose/Passive

I haven’t been at table long but noticed villain has open limped or called to see every flop so far. Two notable hands I observed out of the first 5 or 6 is he once called a 3-bet in the SB with Q2s, he also once flopped 2-pair and only called 3 straight donks all the way to the showdown.

PokerStars, Hold'em Limit ($1/$2) 6-max

UTG calls $1
Folds to Hero in BB with J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], hero raises $1 to $2
UTG calls $1
*** FLOP *** 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero bets $1
UTG calls $1
*** TURN *** T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero bets $2
UTG calls $2
*** RIVER *** 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

How do you like my line so far, and what now?

Bet/fold the river. It sucks when he has K3, but beating LPs is all about betting.

I usually never a consider a check to induce vs a LP, cause generally if they bet ur usually no good. In this spot ur usually pretty good, sometimes he may have 9/K here which sucks but I think he calls with a lot of other trash enough for us to bet for value. FWIW I'm folding to a raise here.

I have to know, are you a really good hand reader, or did you happen to see the hand?

K3o lol

I don't think check/calling is so bad here. I've often seen better hands check behind you here, (eg k3o) saving you one.

If only I could get this lucky at the tables...

Seriously though, Flintoff has a point. In practice I tend to wuss out and check the river. It has saved me a bet sometimes, but has led to me missing bets a lot of times as well. It depends on just how loose and passive the guy is.
