AQ in early position with 50%+ seeing the flop
Hi all
This is a common situation I find myself in and have trouble figuring out the best line. Normally I am either utg or one off, about 50% or more on average are seeing the flop and most are unknowns. Here is one of my big questions. If I 3bb pre flop it normally does not cut the field, so I have to go to 5-7bb. The problem I run into if I am still called by 3-4 people then if I miss the flop, but it is non threatening c betting into that many people is difficult. What are some of the ways you guys play AQ from early at theses types of tables and your bet sizes pre and post flop? Thanks, Jutah |

Re: AQ in early position with 50%+ seeing the flop
Is this full-ring or 6 max?
If it's 6-max a 3 or 4 bb raise will generally 'cut the field' fine. If it's full ring, there is a forum dedicated to full ring which will probably give you a better answer (and hopefully get you to reconsider your question to some extent.) Yes, c-betting into three or four players is difficult. Don't do it. |

You dont cbet into several players without at least a second pair.

Yes. Standard. 4BB + 1 for limper.

Re: AQ in early position with 50%+ seeing the flop
I rarely ever cbet into more than two players without a hand. When I do its because the players are more capable of folding (200nl). If you are getting too much action, then tighten up and cbet less.

Re: AQ in early position with 50%+ seeing the flop
if you are having to build huge pots OOP to 'narrow the field' consider raising smaller in EP with all your holdings and playing small pots.
