no, you never said you "capped," you just said "4-bet." I should have asked how many bets was a cap.

Hell, this guy could have pocket kings.

Talking about that possibility with another player earlier and pretty sure that I would still be in the psych ward in a straight jacket if that hand were rolled over.

Given the preflop action, a set is WAY more likely than 2 pair. Call.

Also, your flop call is awfully thin. Do you really have enough implied odds to make this call. I doubt it.

good luck.

Just read the replies and have to ask those that recommend a 3-bet... what kind of player is laggy enough to give this much action with AK, but not aggressive to enough to 3-bet it preflop?

I just can't imagine the kind of player that holds AK here, so I heavily discount this possibility.

Elindauer,

I appreciate your input. Im pretty sure this is one of those you had to be there hands. I agree that a set is more likely than 2 pair for an unknown by the river. If I were to describe him after the session I would say he is typical of alot of spewers these days who miss value pf, but anytime they flop something they go apeshit. None of this really matters though, bc at the time I dont think I knew him well enough to jack the river. Obv, he had AK and I was being too results oriented after the hand, but assuming I factored into the small sample read I had on him our brief history I thought I could make the river raise.

you should have mentioned the words canterburry park lag fish and repopped the river. i agree with ship it pls if you are an agressive player and that is what the vilian thinks of you punch him in the face one more time. question villian = tony the tiger, jimmy the greek, or vern??? any of those 3 maybe a six bet just for fun

I phrase it a different way:

Q: Why would he go nuts on the turn with AK there?

A: Same reason he just called with it preflop: He is a friggin' moron.
