Re: weird spot
We have at least 2 outs. I think figuring out his range here is tough. When I first thought about posting it I immediately thought it would be stupid, an easy pokerstove, but figuring out a virtual unknowns range in this spot is not that easy.
This was my 2nd hand at the table. In the must move I had position on him. I opened quite a few hands in that game but didnt really get out of line, except once where I opened otb w/ K7o and both blinds called. Flop AK2 w/ 2 hearts. It gets checked through. turn J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], sb bets bb calls, and I make a very loose call hoping a favorable river comes so I can raise them both (j was terrible card in hindsight) anyway K comes, checks to me I bet they both call and mhig. Villian in the 1st hand witnessed this so this might widen his range a bit. |

Re: weird spot
Give him a wide range and I'm in the bet-call camp.

Re: weird spot
Dont think I can fold to a turn 3 bet. He could easily do this w/ AxKc thinking I had T9 or AT or just the naked Ac. Just not really sure how hard he is thinking though.

Re: weird spot
Here is my strategy for this hand:
We bet turn, and if simply called, we bet river regardless, and fold if raised unimproved and call raise if improved (flush/straight/FH) and reraise OBV with quads and royal. If we bet turn and are raised, we call turn, and check fold river unimproved, bet/fold any A/Q/J or club river, check/call river K (not royal), get all the bets in possible with Kc and Ts (to a point until we have to put him on K9c or 89c). Thoughts? Edit: Might have to move the Ace river into a bet/call or check/call range because he can have KK here enough that folding is yucky. |

Re: weird spot
This sounds good, definitely have to call if an ace hits the river. I actually think check/calling the turn is ok to be honest mainly, bc if I am ahead I am crushing everything and if I am drawing nearly dead I lose the least. Dont think giving a free card is terrible here.

Re: Results
So I check-raised and immediately regretted it. He called the river bricked, I bet and he called. He had AxKc.

Re: weird spot
I definitely like the flop check/call and I would love a donk on the turn.. check raise can be nasty especially when you get 3 bet or when he checks behind
