well if he checks everything on the river then it probably is correct to check...

Well, I put him on either a 9, small pp, bdfd, small flush or trips. I think its debatable whether to bet this river, but I dont think he calls with anything, but a 9 (chop), A (we lose), or trips (we lose). I think the raise has value and protects our hand, plus we have an easy fold to a 3-bet. He does random [censored], but I havent seen him 3-bet semi-bluff yet.

It's fine. I posted a very similar hand a couple years ago for.

It's good so far but I dunno if you need to bet a Q or K river either.

Sorry for the boring thread guys, but I got some funny looks when I tabled my hand. This is my standard line in this situation and I just wanted to check. He tabled a smaller flush.

mitch lies, he plays better than he runs, he plays goot

im curious though mitch, you raising for a free showdown?

i know you said that u were going to bet any non ace-heart river, but i feel like a terrible player like you discribed wont donk out the turn with out it significantly improving his hand. when he donks the turn i cant imagin ur top pair is any good, and I feel you have little calue in a river bet... maybe my logic is way off but please let me know what ur thinking.

thanks

This player was donking into me every time I raised pf. I wasnt exactly sure what his turn donk meant, but in my experience it either means a) small pp b) bd draw c) monster
Anyone of these is fine, bc w/ a) I am way ahead and he will only old if like a A or K comes b) I am ahead and can charge him c) I have an easy fold to a 3bet. As you can see I was way off and he didnt even 3-bet me, but I have used this play in this situation with some success.

if someone feels like that they're being picked on, they can show up at showdown very light... i think if he had a pair, he probably wasn't folding though i obviously don't know this guy...
