i love people who say a player is better than another based on one single game performance...every player will have a bad game now and then, it doesnt matter who you are

How the hell does Kerry Collins make that list and not Phil Simms during SB XXI? If that doesn't tell you there's something wrong w/ the ratings system, I don't know what does.

Whats wrong with the rating system is you can have a "perfect" game and still throw incompletions. That's not "perfect" imo. The qb rating system is a sham. It is always possible to do better and always possible to do worse.

Simms was 8 points away.

FWIW, that game Collins played was pretty awesome - I definitely remember it. The Giants successfully executed an 80+ yard flea flicker.

I remember that game. The flea-flicker was on the first play of the second half. Real back-breaker.

9/11 218 yds. 2TD/0INT

lol @ Roethlisbergers first perfecto. WTF is this??? QB rating is soooo stupid. And what about when you throw a 10 yard slant and someone runs 70 yards for the TD? This system makes you look so much better because of WR YAC.

To harsh, Perfect is 80% completion and a TD or two (there'a a huge formula, but that performance should get you 158.3) I believe. That seems like a fair appraisal.

No question, is a good metric, not a perfect one. It's a solid system but it's not the end-all-to-be-all.
