devil went down to georgia is probably the best guitar hero song yet. Passed on my second try, but stuck on a 3* at the moment. Other battles are equally awesome.

if by best you mean the [censored] WORST ever then yea, it delivers. I always love playing a song that's designed for a computer generated hacker, who still may lose. I mean, nothing makes me feel better than playing against computer generated hackers

Lame brag: Have the #3 score for My Name is Jonas on Medium.

Variance: Need to squeeze to get a higher score.

Beat: Don't know how to squeeze

Use the whammy bar on the chorded notes during the star power section.

tips on the solo for Metallica's "One" on hard please. I practiced a fair bit on the individual songs in Japan to get me through but even in practice on the slowest speed I cant hit higher than 55% of the note on the solo.

Same goes with that solo in raining blood. Those are keeping me from beating the Hard level, and the difference between an average "Hard" player like myself and people like "GetThere1Time", namely the ability to pull sick hammer solos.

if you are trying to just pass the song, make sure you save up your star power for the first part of the solo.

If you can get a full star meter, that's great.

What I do on expert is to just alt strum and mash 3 or 4 buttons that make up the solo. I am not trying to hit any particular note, just do this.

1. star power

2. strum fast

3. mash notes.

After star power is done, you have to be semi competent to get through the rest of the solo. This should get you closer to beating it though.

It's Raining Blood on expert for me.

I can get both star powers in the beginning about 90% of the time.

I get through half of mosh 1, turn on star power, survive, then get to the three chord part.

i hit that star power there. But, I need to hit the star power in the brigde, or the long, long streak of green notes. I haven't hit either one in about 15 tries.

If I get just the second half of the star power, I pass the song.

Even without star power, I have gotten way into the Flood part, but fail with two sets of trills left.

Once, I only had like 2-3 green notes left to get the star power. I think I stopped early. I wanted to cry.

Also, I accidentally turned on my star power about 10 seconds before mosh 1 twice.

Also, after about an hour, I failed mosh 1 4 times with star power, because I forgot how to do it.

The good news is this, I can beat most of the song, and eventually, I will get one "good enough" run together to 3* it and be done for now.

I do like the challenge. This reminds me of Hanger 18 from GH2. Just keep getting better at parts until you can finally put it all together and pass it, and feel like a champ

That's not what squeezing is.

See http://www.wikihow.com/Play-Guitar-Hero

[ QUOTE ]
To do a successful squeeze, activate star power JUST as a note passes by, and strum it. Then before the star power ends, hit the last star power note slightly early. I can manage to squeeze a couple more points out of a song by doing this.

The reason you squeeze is to get another note under star power. In My Name is Jonas, the last activation results in an 8x multiplier for all but the last note. If I could squeeze, I could get that last note under 8x, instead it gets activated at 4x. I lose 400 points that way. Thing is, I'm 2400 points behind first place, so I'm missing something else also.
