Re: Hmmm...
[ QUOTE ]
Villain caps pre-flop and bets the turn in the wake of a capped flop from Schneids. If he has A-J it's likely Ad-Jd and, that being the case, he wouldn't put Schneids on a flush draw. Doesn't it seems more likely he'd put Schneids on a flush draw with a hand that beats Schneids? [/ QUOTE ] He bets the river on the made flush, this is online poker, something smells like AJs (non-diamond) here. |

Until I know that he plays real well, I bet here.

Re: Hmmm...
He has kept the gas down in the face of your aggression. The only thing you beat is a badly overplayed TT. I think he has AA that now knows he beats nothing but KK. That said, I often give my opponents credit for not being retarded (and am often wrong) which is exactly what he is if he as anything other than AA or the other KK. I think I check and see what I'm dealing with.

Re: Hmmm...
[ QUOTE ]
UTG+1 opens in an 8-handed game. He is fairly new to the game and I've never played him but maybe once, and I don't really know much about him. 2 folds, and I 3-bet with [Kd Kh]. All others fold, he caps, I call. *** FLOP *** [9d 3d Js] He bets, I raise, he 3-bets, I cap, he calls. *** TURN *** [9d 3d Js] [9c] He bets, I call. *** RIVER *** [9d 3d Js 9c] [Qd] He checks. Easy bet? Tough bet? Easy check? [/ QUOTE ] AJ looks like the only logical hand you can beat that might call here. I think he has a 9 and is cautious because of the 3rd suited card that just hit. He's not folding. Of course, he may have just made the flush and is going for a check raise. Or, he may be full and is hoping you made a flush and will now bet. I see no point in betting. |

Re: Hmmm...
I agree with admirealfluff on playing the hand differently in general. However with how things went down I would be very tempted to bet the river because people are bad. However I agree that I don't know what you are getting called with that you beat (other than AJ) so check seems correct.
