Seat 1: Villain (17.45 in chips) Seat 4: MP (25.05 in chips) Seat 5: Hero (14.75 in chips) Seat 6: SB (13.45 in chips) Seat 10: BB(11.80 in chips) Dealt to Hero [ 7c 7h ] Villain: calls MP: raises to $1.20 Hero: calls SB: folds BB: folds Villain: calls *** FLOP *** [ 4c, 8c, 7s. ] Villain: checks MP: checks Hero: bets $3 Villain: calls MP: folds *** TURN *** [ Ts. ] Villain: checks Hero: Bets all-in. Correct? Incorrect? Why? Thank you for any help.

He only has slightly more than a pot-sized bet remaining, is villain really more likely to call 7.50 than a shove? If he does call 7.50 he's pretty much committed anyway. If the point of a smaller bet is to increase your chances of being called or shoved against, then i'd say $3-4 might be better. I think there's more chance that a hand that folds to a shove calls or bluff-raises against a $3 bet than against $7.50.
Edit: i'm too late [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] Edit Edit: I mostly just shove, but against bluffy aggro opponents I might try a small bet.

Arent you giving over analyzing at these levels? I think that at these micro stakes you should just try to maximze money rahter than trying to out think opponents.

The only hand you really need to play to is a FD here.
If he has a FD then villain will have 7 outs. You need to offer worse than 5:1 implied odds. After that pushing or not just depends on what you expect he'll call with a worse hand.

over-analyze? me? surely you jest. FWIW, I'd only not-shove with some specific read, that's what I was trying to say. Shoving is good.
What I really meant, in handy diagram form, is: Shoving > FPS small bet > 7.50
