Yeah, I've met him in real life and I don't think he'd do this either. I don't really think he was involved in any way; for all I know he no longer even lives in Blacksburg.

According to this article, the shooter was a 24-year-old Chinese National. And FWIW, I think it's in very poor taste to make baseless speculation about the shooter's identity, but whatever.
