Use the P5 'recent scores' to keep track.

Then only include the top XX scores in the tier that each player signs up for.

For example if I sign up for the $100+ tier, only my top XX scores in tourneys above $100 buyin will count.

imo there is two problems with P5. Their formula puts too much weight on prizepool and none on entrants #. Also their recent scores system doesn't keep track on 180s.
edit: and other tournies where prizepool is under 1k

All the more reason to use it IMO.

Agreed. I want MTT's not people winning 20 180 man's in a row. Personally I think it's different.

I think eliminating the 180's and other sng-type mtt's will help equalize the playing field for extremely high volume players and others.

hey everyone. as you can see, i'm a new poster, however, i'm a frequent/long-time reader of the forum.

i would be interested in this challenge, but was hoping someone could provide me a little bit more beginner info (perhaps through a pm, if thats more appropriate) on such challenges. basically just the logistics of how it works, and the same volume questions others have addressed.

also, i assume this challenge would include all games?

feel free to look me up...a_zuzolo on pstars.

I have problem with not including 180s. I'm european and my playing times are obv different than most of yours. Imo that puts me in a significant disadvantage, because there's much more good tournies going on when I have to be asleep. 180s help me fill my schedule.

This is how I imagine this thing would work:

-I think that he best solution would be using the stars formula. That way we can export results easily from stars (jurollo has system for this?) and have to do some work only on ftp scores.
-Top 10 or 15 scores should count. Volume shouldn't decide winner nor should one huge score.
-Two or three different tiers. If we want to have 3 it would be Tier1: FOs <20$ and rebuys 3$, Tier 2: FOs 20-50$ rebuys 5-10$, Tier 3: FOs >50$ and rebuys >10$. If we decide to have only 2 tiers we could combine tier 1 and 2.
-Buy-ins: Tier 1 20$, Tier 2 50$, Tier 3 150$
Every suggestion is welcome.

We still need someone with good excel skills to do the scoring and someone trustworthy to hold the monies. I think we can ship few % of the overall prizepool to the scorekeeper? And if this thing gets huge maybe some kind mod will reward him with a custom title.
