Macbook Pro Vs Sony Vaio

Hi,

I'm looking for a new laptop since im getting pretty tired of my old one.

I've been looking a bit on the Sony Vaio TZ:

Basicly because of the really cool design + size of it. The only thing bothering me is the processor and limited gfx ability.

Other than that I've looked at the 17" Macbook Pro which looks like a really cool laptop, and isnt too expensive either. You even get a NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphic along with the reasonable price.

NOW. Here's the thing really.. I have had an old Mac Ibook G4 some years ago, and yeah yeah OSX is cool and everything, but really it just isnt me.. im liking windows so much better, and even more important I need to play poker on this computer as well.. and not just on Fulltilt or Ongame..

With the Macbook Pro, installing it with windows xp/vista whatever.. Will the performance still be as good as a normal laptop with the same specifications?? I guess with the great processor, 2gig ram and pretty decent GFX card the Macbook has it should run games pretty smooth as well???

Are you using windows at the same time??

How is that working out performance wise????

you can run windows natively on the macbooks now with bootcamp and it works great imo

So lets say for gaming as an example.

You would get the same perfomance when playing games from your MBP when using bootcamp, like you would from a regular laptop with the same specs?
