Janis, OTOH, was just trying to single me out and, instead, showed that he doesn't really read what I write despite arguing with me.

[/ QUOTE ]Oh but I do read what you write. Let me quote.

This is what the argumentation from you generally looks like and then you ask us why you're not getting more respect?

the NCAAs are rigged

come on now...you know my position is much more nuanced than that

it's that games cannot help but be unfair due to human judgment/decision making being incapable of purely objective viewing of an event. It appears many sports are actually encouraging certain biases that are having a direct effect on the outcomes of certain games. The behavioral economic and psychology research (you know the kahneman/tversky stuff) backs me up here. Am i being seriously being ridiculed for believing in scientific research???

For example, perceptions that one team is better than another leads an official to see the game in a light more favorable to the 'better' team

first one was called a fumble and Michigan ball...second one was ruled not a fumble

somehow the pass play beginning at 1:17 was ruled not a carch

In essence, professional poker players are shortstacking life (Think about it).

This didn't get nearly as much love as it should have. I guess banning online poker would be the life equivalent of Stars raising the min-buyin.

[/ QUOTE ]So do 95% of everyone else. Very very few actually have a job they love and that actually pays well with little stress involved.
