Weirdest Stop-and-Go ever (by TheBeat)
This is a hand that I observed from a 109 on Stars tonight. Why would he (TheBeat) play this as a Stop-and-Go? Seemed really weird/unorthodox to me but maybe he's on another level???
What is your calling range if you are MP2 (after he open-shoves this flop?) Level 5 75/150 2 Folds...shorty moves in for 1150...MP2 (11737) raises to 3150...3 folds...SB (TheBeat-7983) calls 3075...BB folds. Flop 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (Pot 7600) TheBeat bets 4908 (all-in)...MP2...??? |

Does it really matter what he does here? MP sure isn't folding to a PF push anyway, so whatever. If I'm MP2, I'm calling with whatever I raised PF with, 100%.

Theory: TheBeat had 22. Called preflop because he just KNEW if he flopped a set he was getting paid $$$ cash monies. After the hand, he celebrated by standing up and yelling "ONE FOR THE GOOD GUYS!!"

I don't see how this is a stop and go unless you somehow knew he would push on any flop. What makes it the "weirdest stop and go ever"?

I think I call with any pair, AK, and a lot of like T8o type stuff.
Maybe thebeat really is that bad, but I refuse to accept that he can have a hand here. |

How about this: I like Pete's play here.

If theBeat manages to fold out any of the hands you raised with, the play is good. What bad comes from it (if thebeat pushed PF, MP is getting well over 2:1 to call)?
