Default Search for Truth

From the Book of Mormon

"O that cunning plan of the evil one! O the vainness and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish."

"But he to be learned is good if they hearken unto the counsels of God."

So true, So true.

I urge any one interested in the truth to read the Book of Mormon to discover for themselves that it is indeed another testament of Jesus Christ, and to learn of its truthfulness by study and by prayer to God, after "testing all things" (Acts 17:11).

Moroni 10:3-4 says
"Behold I would exhort you that when ye shall read these things, if it be wisdom in God that ye should read them, that ye would remember how merciful the Lord hath been unto the children of men, from the creation of Adam even down until the time that ye shall receive these things, and ponder it in your hearts. "

"And when ye shall recieve these things, I would exhort that ye would ask of God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost"

The importance of the Book of Mormon if it is the word of God is second to none.

I know it's true and just thought I would share that. You should test it so you have no regrets if you seek to know the fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Cheers...

That it is second to none as word of god amongst christians is very possible. I still don't buy it, but I'll accept its position on the hit parade, specially if it riles a majority!

I don't believe in it.

But I think it would be nice if they included it into all official bibles. After all it is the faith of Christians handed down by servants of god, so it should be valid.

Pavarotti,

Once upon a time, there was a poster by the name of SitNHit who was also very keen on the Book of Mormon. However, in this thread, he dodged some very simple questions about aspects of Mormonism and Joseph Smith. Maybe you can answer them for me.
