Not 100% sure on what to do this hand, too passive? loose flop call? I dont think I can fold to a minraise but he's sure representing the J and I'll be facing a turn bet for sure, can I check call the turn unimproved to pick off bluffs? I have to at least CC the turn dont I? Wrong to check the river? Any help appreciated.

I think you played this hand good. The raise on the flop can easily be by KQ so your call of the raise is good. You check call on the turn which is safe, and you check on the river which is good. Obviously if you knew he was going to check behind I think you can get value out of him with a bet. He probably had KQ would be my guess.

I can't give him credit for a jack without a read. I like PF and flop bet. I'm not 3 betting the flop because all jacks will come as will big draws. I call and re-eval on the turn. Turn is not one I'd like to see. k10 has gotten there and is def included in his range.

I think if you check call the turn here you need to see a showdown unless the river is awful. River is safe so I think a check call is the way here. He might bluff his flush draw. Maybe he puts u on a draw and thinks he's value betting an ace (w/ 2 spades). Point is I want to see a showdown cheap as possible. Maybe if that scary turn doesnt hit then i can shove the turn.

I don't see an opponent raising a jack on the flop. I'm not sure whether three betting will drive him away though, so calling may have been the right play.

on the turn, you are almost certainly ahead. Check calling is fine again because if you reverse or check/raise you might scare villain away.

On the river, I would lead out for value. If you do get popped, you will know you are probably facing a jack played really well, or possibly a straight, but any call is $$$$ in the bank. A check allows him to check behind too much, as he did.
