Yardage gain from new driver?
Right now I have a Taylormade R7 HT 400cc 10.5 deg driver from several years back that I can regularly carry soggy range balls around 225 yds in the air. I can hit a 17deg 5 wood 200yds normally. I feel like I should be able to get more out of my driver.
Anybody have any ideas how much of a difference a new driver would make? |

Re: Yardage gain from new driver?
MAYBE 5-10yds...maybe.
There's more than just clubhead to consider...shaft is important, as is the loft. Too many people, IMHO, think a new driver is the magic wand to help their game...going to the gym and working on your swing will often do a whole lot more than just forking out 500+ for a new club. |

Re: Yardage gain from new driver?
good deal, as long as I keep my softball swing from screwing things up I can hit it pretty solid. 5-10 yards def isnt worth it.
