25NL QQ wierd spot
Looks like villan is a 17/13/2.67. I was running my typical tag game, and me and BB hadn't tangled yet really.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (5 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) SB ($1.85) BB ($33.15) UTG ($29.55) MP ($36.75) Hero ($27.05) Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $0.85</font>, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises to $1.85 (All-In) </font>, BB calls $1.60, Hero calls $1. Flop: ($5.55) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font> <font color="#CC3333">BB bets $3.5</font>, Hero calls $3.50. Final Pot: $60.75 Does it look like I should fold/raise anywhere, or is this alright as played? |

Re: 25NL QQ wierd spot
I would 4bet preflop. I dont let people set mine on me.
Aside from that your line is fine, the flush draw doesn't concern me as he as a pp like everytime. Id shove the turn. But I dont hate calling. |

Re: 25NL QQ wierd spot
Right. So when you get one of those calls outta the blinds to a 3bet, your putting most of his range on a PP maybe up to JJ? Also I assume if you 4bet your calling a 5-bet push from BB?

Re: 25NL QQ wierd spot
On a drawy board like this, I think you've gotta get it in on the flop here with a pretty sizeable raise. You're probably way ahead on the flop, way behind on the turn and in a coin flip on the river depending obviously on how high his flush is.
I think it's unavoidable that you're getting it all in on the river here. PF is alright, though I'd consider coming back over the BB. Flop as I said I would've raised. Turn as played is probably call you can do and the same with the river. |

Re: 25NL QQ wierd spot
Raise pf, raise flop...
PF- this isn't him calling a 3bet, it's a short stack shove- for which his range is likely fairly wide (all PPs, some suited connectors) given that 4 bets are so very rare in most of these games. If he flats and then shoves over your 2nd raise this round giving him credit get much easier than it is on the... Flop- where he can have all sorts draws/pair draw combos and PPs that look goodish since if you look tag he knows you often repop pf with big pairs- so if i call pf (which i don't) I raise the flop willing to felt it. As played you have to consider folding the turn since 77/88/TT/JJ (with a spade) + oddly played As + the odd cheese are all the we beat and our odds (both immediate and implied) are pretty crappy. But once we call there we can't fold the river. |
