What, because I didn't cap the turn?

I figured out why stoxtrader loves the turn check-raise as a semibluff when drawing. It's because it makes your flush hit unless you are me.

Guy- Looks like the start of a -100bb night...

[/ QUOTE ]

Turned out okay. I won that session in the end, like ten bets. Then just now I played another little session: 100 hands exactly as it turned out.

After 43 hands I was down 28 bets. I finished up 2 bets, which of course makes me a 2BB/100 winner.

Funny how when you keep raising and betting and losing, everyone suddenly decides that you're FOS, so that when this happens:

limp, limp, limp, limp, complete, I check 72o in the BB

Flop: 772

you get back all those bets in one hand. The button managed to raise a flush draw on the turn, got himself threebet by the maniac spewtard in the big blind, hit the flush, and capped the river. *hugs*

Poker is easy when you have the best hand.

Made some embarrassingly bad river calldowns tonight. Like, check your pea brain at the door and get in touch with your inner guppy type [censored]. Raise? Again? Apparently my pf 3-bets mean nothing. Ahhh... make that free card raise this time. Flush completed, huh? And you bet of course. Looks like a call to me. A-high must be good. [censored].

I live in (dwindling) hope of the day I finally manage to get out of my own way.
