In ac , for you need to have a pocket pair for it to be quads over a full house, even if your kicker plays it doesnt matter. Not true at commerce??

[/ QUOTE ]

At Commerce (and in LA iun general) both hole cards mush play, but they do NO have to be a pocket pair - as long as both PLAY.

Commerce is even more liberal in that it is aces full of *anything* beaten by for of a kind or better.

In the above example, both I and the guy with aces looked at each other, and we knew we had it --- bleh.

No offense, but doesn't seem like you played that smart.

Huh? Do you know how to play for a jackpot? And do you not recognize when someone has the case ace?

That's not nearly as bad as when someone stays in with Q4o, catches a Q on the river, and kills the jackpot when you have JJ and the other guy has AK. This happens all the time at Commerce. People will tell everyone to fold if they don't have a pocket pair, but newby players who don't understand the jackpot rules don't listen.

That being said, Commerce jackpot is pretty easy to hit which makes it fun. A table last week hit it twice within 10 minutes - same dealer. Crazy stuff.

I don't know the accounting involved in BBJs but IMO there is a very high possiblity you are getting ripped off. Who does the accounting for this? There are several steps where money can be skimmed off.

Everywhere I ever played both cards had to play. I thought the loser got the bigger part of the jackpot too.

That's pretty sick.

I can picture the degen Asians (redundant) aiyah-ing loudly and in unintentional unison while loudly slamming their hands onto the felt sending chips and cards flying through air.

[/ QUOTE ]

As a weekend Commerce player, this brought great laughter to my work day.
