Help me pick a leather jacket

My uncle bought me a leather jacket a few weeks ago but it wasn't exactly my style so I exchanged it rather quickly for another one that I'm not really fond of of anymore. I haven't worn it out yet so I might exchange it again and since I have never owned a leather jacket prior to now and know nothing about them I thought I'd seek oot's help in picking one out.

The jacket was purchased from Danier Leather (in Canada). This is the one I currently have and my problem with it is the leather seems a bit to shiny and it resembles a motorcycle jacket too much.

Anyways, I'm looking for something that I can wear with a variety of clothig (jeans, khakis etc.) but that isn't too casual so I can wear it on slightly more formal occasions. Preferably bomber style but I'll take any suggestions. Nothing more than $300.
