Default 100NL trips on the flop n multiway : to bet or not to bet

I'm not sure about this one: I decided to bet 1/2 pot hoping for action in this multiway pot but well... maybe too straight play...
MP 38/34/1.5
BTN 18/7/1.5
SB 27/11/8

Poker Stars, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
LeggoPoker.com - Hand History Converter

Hero (BB): $284.55
UTG: $171.10
MP: $100
CO: $106.85
BTN: $100.80
SB: $110.40

Pre-Flop: Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] dealt to Hero (BB)
UTG folds, <font color="red">MP raises to $4</font>, CO folds, BTN calls $4, SB calls $3.50, Hero calls $3

Flop: ($16) Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 Players)
SB checks, <font color="red">Hero bets $8</font>, 3 folds

Results: $16 Pot ($0.80 Rake)
Hero mucked Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] and WON $15.20 (+$11.20 NET)

In a spot like this I'm willing to risk a free card and give MP the opportunity to bet their medium pair/missed hand and get some more money in the pot. The board is pretty crippled in a spot like this so to maximize EV you have to give the opponents a chance to hang themselves.

I'd fold pf as KQ sucks OOP in multiway raised pots. As for the flop I like to lead as well, except I'd rather lead for about $12. You get value from FDs, and mid pocket pairs. I think leading out almost disguises your hand.

Checking this flop multiway is bad. Would you bluff this flop 4 handed with a flushdraw out? Probably not, so leading out is the good play.

I agree that PF call is not so good,
but it was just 3$ taken from pretty good winnings so I decided to go hoping to get a monster ... you know, sometimes when doing good, you just decide to open up a bit ... maybe a bad habit...
