20/180 Spewy confused re-steal?
Hi, at work so going off the top of my head here. 20/180 FT, down to 8. No one with a super short stack. Villian has been raising alot in late position since we got to FT, but I hadn't seen him before that. No one had yet re-raised him Villian (Button) 32K Hero (SB) 30k Ive got Q 10 unsuited. Blinds, 500/1000 ante approx 125 All folded round to Villian who raises to 3k I re-raised to 10k Villian calls. Flop 3 9 9 (rainbow) I check, villian checks Turn - 7 Hero bets 10k, Villian thinks for a while and then pushes. Hero folds... No really happy with this at all, comments/abuse welcome. |

3 betting 1/3 of your stack sucks when u got Q high, u have to shove this flop though, not that your in this spot. Also where are you and villian,,.. button v BB?

Re: 20/180 Spewy confused re-steal?
Villian was button, I was SB (it says in OP btw.. )
I think in this spot I was 3-betting almost ATC, they guy had been raising like 90% of the time it got to him unraised in CO and button. The fact that i had a tiny bit of a hnad was a bonus. I just wasn't sure what to do post flop after he called. If there was a high card I think I bet flop, but that board really sucks for a c-bet if he's got a pp. If he does have a PP, is there any way I can get him to fold? I figured a turn bet would probably look stronger than a bet on the flop on that board. |

Re: 20/180 Spewy confused re-steal?
IF he has a PP. but IF he has any ace other than A9 or A3, he probably folds. he also folds KQ, KJ etc. AND he might fold a PP to a flop shove because you re raised plus theres two nines out there. i dont think he has a pair tens or higher, because he didnt repush your reraise preflop. if youre going to do stuff like this (3 betting ATC preflop on a read) you have to back it up with some balls on flops thta seem unlikely to improve his hand
