I'm not sure a 35/10 is ever dumping a Q here, and he could easily have a flush. If he folds you probably had the best hand already.

a 35/10 is nearly always dumping a q here. i'd just prefer a smaller river bet as these guys like to talk themselves into a call and you're giving them one reason with the overbet. it's possible to see a flush here as 35/10s are dumb and some would check it. but i still like it.

Could someone explain why they like this hand?

Preflop: Fine
Flop: Fine
Turn: Terrible.

Villains stats seems passive and loose. He most likely do not play his big hands fast, and he probably calls to much. Why do you want to bluff a player like that with a hand that has almost no outs/equity?
What was the plan if river blanked?

River: Fine. You got there, you got to finish it.

I've seen several posts lately where people are pulling bluffs against loose-passives. I don't get it. Am I missing something?

yes, you're missing that loose passive players also fold hands. but they only fold really bad ones after a good amount of convincing.

you are right that the turn as a one street bluff is bad but i'd view this bluff as having to be a two street bluff which i think will work extremely often.
