Was just watching an old LATB with Barry, and he was saying he almost never has more than $1mil in cash, and that none of the big players have more than a couple mil in cash--they all invest the rest. He also said he was down $2-3 million recently, so obv he can access more than $1mil, but his liquid roll at any time is never much more than $1 mil, and if he loses that, he can always get someone to spot him a few $100,000s.

It is well known that a Mr. Andy Beal has a bankroll of over one MILLION dollars and is NOT a poker player. Clearly a poker player needs a bankroll more than a non-poker player, and thus we can deduce that a bankroll of over one MILLION dollars is the norm for poker players.
