Everyone keeps talking about the Joba Rules, but what about the Farnsworth Rules? The guy has thrown back-to-back days three times all season and not since June 24. He hasn't gone more than an inning a single time and has never entered a game in the middle of an inning.

Can anyone explain why they're coddling that piece of [censored], yet treating Vizcaino like a piece of meat? Anyone?

Vizcaino's recent work:
8/11: pitched eighth with a 10-2 lead
8/12: pitched in a close game
8/14: pitched the ninth trailing 12-0
8/16: pitched the ninth trailing 8-3
8/18: pitched in a close game
8/19: asked for a day off because his arm was sore
8/20: got hit hard
8/21: pitched the ninth trailing 18-5

WTF? Seriously, WTF? Farnsworth couldn't pitch a second day in a row today? Henn couldn't suck it up and throw one more inning? I wouldn't be surprised if Vizcaino isn't effective the rest of the year with the way Torre has treated his arm. This is why we need the Joba Rules.

It sucks that we have 2 guys in the bullpen for which there are special rules though - the Yankees definitely need another long man. At least Mike Myers isn't still out there - Torre would've brought him in to face one batter in the third inning.

I hadn't heard about that. But still, does it really matter how effective he is when the team is losing 18-5 in the ninth inning? I'm much more worried about Vizcaino's elbow/shoulder exploding than I am about Farnsworth's back.
