every single street is horrible except maybe flop/river.

1. fold preflop/raise preflop (I thought this was like common knowledge on button)

2. flop is ok

3. bet full pot turn looks like he has a draw

4. folding/calling both seem ok

If your opponent is really passive, then I like the fold

Why is calling with J10 on the button 'horrible'? Not getting snotty, just curious, because I do this all the time.

Is your calling this bet preflop, you have to raise him on flop with air sometimes when he cbets. Otherwise, this is not a profitable play

Why cold call button when you can take the lead before the cards come out? Taking advantage earlier gives you more control over the hand regardless of the board

i'd be more likely to RR this from OOP vs the button. I can take this pot if either, i hit a nice flop, i raise him on a small dry flop, or he checks and lets me take control. I think RR isn't as good because you only get called by hands you're way behind anyway and are almost certainly firing another bullet which could cost you even more. Not to say that i dont 3b with air (i def do), just not in this spot usually.

you did not raise high enough on the flop.. he already put 1 dollar in so he had to put in 2 dollars into like a 6 dollar pot... while 3 to 1 pot odds is not good enough to chase a flush (if im not mistaken?) in the microstakes, people will pay just about ANYTHING to chase a flush. same thing on the river, he had to pay 5 dollars into a 13 dollar pot.. i say do a solid pot-sized bet each time, especially since you pretty much do have the nuts unless hes playing pocket 3s or has a higher kicker, both of which are unlikely.

ive had people raise ALL IN on the turn with NOTHING except a 4-flush while i might have had top pair or two... and the worst part is sometimes they do take it down. i recently started playing online a couple months ago and im still at 10NL, but some of these flush-chasing donks are very frustrating...especially when they take down the pot.

wouldn't I rather bet less and have him call incorrectly? it seems like most players would fold to a pot sized bet on the turn with just a draw. if you have a read that he'll call it, then fire away, I just don't think the likelihood that he has a draw should be enough to make us bet the pot
