Should be interesting to see what this is. After Capcom dropped the PS3 for Monster Hunter 3 and gave it to the Wii there was alot of fan outcry. In an unusual response to one fan complaining that Capcom doesn't care about their PS3-owners on the Capcom forums, Christian Svensson (Senior Director of Strategic Planning & Research for Capcom) replied Let's see how they feel at the end of next week about us. The timing matches up perfectly.

Assuming it's from one of Capcom's existing franchises and that this hint gives us the breakdown of the words, my guess is Mega Man or Onimusha. Street Fighter also fits but there is a period in the middle.

With all the buildup it seems like anything less than SF4 would be a letdown, and yet SF4 seems too obvious. Maybe something silly like Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter?

Next Gen Mega Man done right is what we can all hope for.

Dead Rising would also be acceptable.

I read somewhere that Capcom of Japan wouldn't continue with the Streetfighter Series because 2-D fighters are simply a niche market right now.

so make a 3-D version then. But make a good one. I don't think 2-D is really that much of niche -- unless it is a niche of people who prefer good game play, lots of times games are actually worse in 3-D because they focus to hard in making the game in super-cool 3-D than they do in actually making the game fun and playable.
