Default Re: Ultimate Bet rake calculation update

Guys, there is some confusion in this thread.

RaketheRake claims the UB system for rakeback is different than the Absolute system as UB doesn't use a weighted contributed method.
Victor (and my affiliate at TITN) have said that the UB system is the same as that of Absolute.

Also, what are the (increased) fees for US players? What are they for and how are they charged? Does each player pay the same amount or does it depend on certain actions a player takes such as depositing and withdrawing?

Thanks for any clarification.

^^bill, the increased fees is for US players only...UB wants to shift some of its burden to the players...around 20% of everyones' MGR will be hit every month to compensate...it doesn't matter how much u play, the percentage hit is the same for everyone...

Suigin,

Thanks for the response. I'm confused by a statement you made though. What do you mean by "UB wants to shift some of its burden to the players"? What burden am I causing by being a US player making no deposits or withdrawals?

I understand that it is what it is and there isn't anything I can do about it but I'm still curious to understand their motivation for it.

Anyone,
Do we know exactly how this contributed MGR is calculated???

Here's the two different interpretations I've read so far:
both of the calculations below assume you have put money into the pot. If you contribute nothing to the pot you get nothing counted toward your MGR.

RakeTheRake is claiming that the contribution to your MGR per hand = (total rake)/(total number of players that put money into the pot)

ThisIsTheNuts claims that the contribution to your MGR per hand = (total money you put into the pot)*(total rake)/(total pot size)

These two ways of calculating are quite different.

Best,
Bill
