Default Trip Aces and a padded pot

3/6 B&M

Hero is BB with A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Preflop (10 players):
4 limpers, SB completes, Hero in BB raises, 5 call

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (12 SB)
SB checks, Hero checks, 2 folds, MP3 bets, buttons checks, SB folds, Hero raises, MP3 calls, button calls

I think this is pretty standard so far. MP3 has been hitting well and really running the show for a while and has a huge stack. He's feeling confident and playing very loose agressive.

Button sat down an hour ago. He's well dressed and bought in for a good amount, but he doesn't understand the the game. He plays lots of hands and just call them down to see who wins.

Turn 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (8 BB)

Hero checks, MP3 bets, button calls, hero raises, MP3 3 bets, button calls, hero...

I think he would play an A rag like this. If this were heads up I would call down just in case it was A4 or A8 or AK, but since button thinks nothing of calling this down with what is could very well be a dead hand, I decide to cap it up. Does this make sense?

I bet/3-bet the flop. Lead the turn, if he raises, I probably call down from there unless he'll keep going nuts with any ace, in which case I bet/3-bet the turn and call down from there.

I wouldn't get frisky in low limit live poker, that's just me though.

This is weird. I don't know why we're checkraising twice.

Bet/3bet flop. Lead turn, call down a turn raise unless he's real aggro.

I just joined 2+2 and have only played 2/5 B&M but isn't check raising usually a bad play at these limits? I would do the same as One Outer here.

I really don’t like the check raise on the flop. I agree with one outer, you should lead the flop and 3 bet if raised. This flop looks scary to anyone who does not have an A. Only one other player can have an A and maybe no one else does. While MP3 may have been taking a shots at almost any flop, this one might be too scary, and you don’t want it checked through.

The check raise is not a bad play in low limits, but it is in this hand. Bet/3B the flop. C/R here is for vulnerables like top pair not mosters like top trips.

I also consider b/3b on the turn but could be spew?

Attempting a turn c/r seems pretty silly.

I have one more detail to add to the mix. I'm playing tight and running cold and people are taking shots at me. Also it seemed like the action was drying up whenever I bet, so I figure he will put me on an ace with a flop bet from early position.

I thought the stop and go was reasonable here, but I will bet/3 bet in future.
