Instances like these should be socially acceptable for a grown man to punch a woman in the face.

This thread, like many before it, is degrading from douchey clothing to people just posting dumb clothing that has nothing to do with the wearer being a douchebag. For my money, tight shirts and popped collars are the clear leaders.

this has to be the winner. Anyone so proud to wear a bracelet showing how big of a philanthropist you are by donating $1 to cancer research is the epitomy of douche. Oh and if you wear one only because you think they are cool that makes you an infinite douche for not recognizing you donated money to cancer research.

p.s. if you're going to donate money please follow these simple rules
a. donate more than $1
b. don't brag about donating, especially if it's only $1

ianisakson,

Just curious, if some clothing company like, say, Levi's jeans, or Dockers, gave most of their profit to cancer charities, would you say that people who wore Levi's or Dockers were douchebags?

completely different principle in action sir. Livestrong is a charity, Levi's/dockers are corporations. charities make money for the sole purpose of their cause, whereas corporations are in the business of making money for their shareholders. Some religious experts could find some great readings that say what i'm trying to say much better. Basically, you are an ass if you brag about donating money/ giving to charity. Those that are true in spirit donate to donate, not for fashion or to have their name put on a building.

I guess I was trying to point out that the livestrong bracelets went from "charity item" to "fashion item" pretty quickly, and the fact that proceeds went to cancer research became a secondary issue.

I could be wrong, though. If people are still buying those things so they can point to them and say, "I hate cancer, too!" then they're pretty bad, but I think at this point most of those plastic wristbands are the slap bracelets of the 90's.

pretty much, I just think that most things that classify as trendy would also classify as douchy. imo. If anyone ever wore one of these, can you please tell me why?
