mid set, drawy board... deep vs. very good reg.
villain is a very good regular. he built up his stack quite impressively, including several great trapping plays. he's by no means stupid, or nitty. my table image is TAG... is this jackpot?... or am i in some trouble here...

Wow, sickkkk spot. Who is villian btw? I would call here and see what happens on the turn vs most villians. If the money goes in the middle here on the flop, you are almost never in good shape.

Re: mid set, drawy board... deep vs. very good reg.
fun hand,
i'd guess your opening wider than most given the small preflop bet, which suggests your raising the flop more than most, leading to a wider range for a good reg. stack sizes, pot size suggest getting it in, although at times id call and make a decision on the turn depending on the type of good reg. have a feeling without more information your going to have a hard time getting decent answers. |

A7h, other Axh maybe KQh (etc.) (CERTAINLY have to include A7 if we put 7T in there) |

Re: mid set, drawy board... deep vs. very good reg.
The day I Flop middle set, get raised big, and think "am I in some trouble here?", is the day you will see the last heartbeat run down my nitty veins and asplode. In other words, shove, LDO. I think that is the best way to get in vs. a big overpair or 66, and keeps you from psyching yourself out on the Turn when a "bad" card hits (omg its the Queen of Hearts, I must fold!).
Also, raise more pre-Flop. Also, call me a giant nit, but unless the table is great, I generally get up when I have built a giant stack along with someone else who has position on me and is making "impressive trapping plays". Also, hi ddubois, long time. Brian |
