Default ProcessGuard says it blocked an operation...

I just recently got PG so this concerns me, if this is a problem, it could have been going on before, what should I make of this:

PG prevented c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe was BLOCKED from terminating c:\windows\system32\wmiadap.exe

And here is info on svchost.exe:

Description:
svchost.exe is a system process belonging to the Microsoft Windows Operating System which handles processes executed from DLLs. This program is important for the stable and secure running of your computer and should not be terminated.

Note: svchost.exe is a process registered as a backdoor vulnerability which may be installed for malicious purposes by an attacker allowing access to your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. If unaccounted for, this process should be removed immediately.

Note: svchost.exe is a process which is registered as a trojan. This Trojan allows attackers to access your computer from remote locations, stealing passwords, Internet banking and personal data. This process is a security risk and should be removed from your system.

Note: svchost.exe is a process belonging to Microsoft Service Host Process. This program is a non-essential process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.

And it said partygaming.exe was prevented from creating a low level global key hook, is this all normal?

That partygaming.exe was trying to make a hook seems pretty normal.
I don't know about the other stuff.

Get SnoopFree to block any key hooking. Almost all of the large poker sites do it. They also do screenshots, which I have an issue with. SF blocks both.

most likely nothing is wrong with svchost, it is just a microsoft process...but if you think you may have an infection just get an updated antivirus and scan it. also invest in a firewall so you can block certain programs that may try to open ports or access the internet without you knowing it. this would stop anything from connecting to you without your knowledge.

you may also want to post in the tech forum if you want more information.

If svchost.exe tried to kill Spybot, you almost for sure have a virus.

Some viri install themselves as svchost.exe to try to appear like a real service.

[/ QUOTE ]Are you sure? Perhaps windows just bugged and shut this down? PG is blocking dozens of things over the course of a few days like it says spywaredoctor(anti spy ware software) tried to terminate smss.exe. I can't make sense of this and don't know if anything needs to be done.

I ran Kaspersky, it found nothing except:

1. It identified Twin Aces and Bet Royal .exe as potentially dangerous(??)

2. Stuff on documents and settings\desktop relating to aawsepersonal.exe (adaware), it said that these could not be scanned as they are password protected, is this normal?
