Default Making up your blind with a straddle

If you miss both your blinds in a 1/2 game and want to come in on the straddle, do you ..
A. Just put out the $4. or...
B. Put out $5., the straddle along with the missed small blind??

Just put out $4. I have never seen a card room require that you post the small blind on top of the straddle.

they dont allow live straddles where i play, so ive never seen it

btw, they should imo
if youre going to post utg, you owe $1 to the middle, and $2 live. if you decide to straddle, you put out another $2. $5 total

Agreed, I think they should. Straddle adds options, its not the same as just posting.
