i was playing at 1/2$ nl.holdem, and one guy was very lucky and with 100$ he made 1000$ in just one hour. then he got up and cashout. that is not problem, problem is he returned half hour later and buy-in 100$ at same table! [img]/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]
i think he should buy-in all 1000$.

The amount of time varies by room, but the standard rule is that if you wait X ( half hour, hour, two hours), you are allowed to sit down at the same table/game with any legal buy-in. Before that, you have to buy-in with at least what you left with (assuming that is more than the min buy in).

I don't fault him for that at all. I have issues with guys that "ask" the table if they can cash out and continue playing, but if he leaves for any amount of time (usually 1/2 hour), that's enough for him to come in as a "new" player.

Why wouldn't you want to play with a huge chip advantage?

If its a fishy schitty player that made a few suckouts and he knows he's overmatched

Maybe he is just more comfortable with shorter stacks and realizes his limitations.

The last idea is more likely. Being able to admit that you are overmatched is a fairly advanced poker skill, and it is very unlikely that a fish would be able to do this. There are many pros who do not have this ability.
