Default NL25: River line with turned set?

UTG folds, MP raises to $1.25, 3 folds, Hero calls $1.00

Hero checks, MP checks

Turn: ($2.60) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $1.00, MP raises to $3.00, Hero calls $2.00

River: ($8.60) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)

Pot Size: $8.60

I was pretty sure he had some sort of big ace or a lower set at best once he raised the turn, still it seemed like he was in love with his hand. No reads on villain as I only played like 10 hands with him before. Your line for optimal extraction? I was pretty sure a turn rereraise would shut him dow, but you just never know at Nl25. As played, small valuebet, pot size, overbet shove, check-raise, whats your river line?

Pot is not large enough and you are OOP. Re-raise the turn to $8, obv call shove. Shove river if he checks or bets.

I like the turn reraise - $8 seems spot on, you've got to hope you can play for stacks here.

I think reraising is the best option, and that you are giving up equity by calling and betting on river.

And we're not 3-betting PF why?

Your question was what to do on the river.

I would bet the pot on the river at this point. Like the others, it would have been preferable to reraise the turn to max the profit.

You said yourself that you thought he was in love with his hand. If that's the case, a turn 3-bet isn't going to shut him down.

Also lead for more like $1.50 on the turn.

Once there on the river I check raise him.

Your turn line is awful. I might use it vs players I play often against who I am sure will bet river.

You may loose value though if he decides to check down his smaller Ax hands and KK-JJ.
