Default 1/2 Venetian 200 button ante, AA turn/river play

Effective stacks for both hands roughly 45k.

Villain is pretty TAG and capable of making hero calls when there is a big draw that bricks on the river. However, he is also capable of making some laydowns when facing heat so he's definitely not a calling station. An example of a thin call..

Hand #1
Six-handed Villain opens to 700 UTG, UTG+1 calls, MP calls, rest fold. Flop 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villain bets 1200, MP calls. Turn T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Villain checks, MP bets 2300, Villain calls. River offsuit Q. Villain checks, MP bets 5100, Villain ponders and MP says, "The Queen did not help me." Villain calls and MP shows A6cc, Villain shows 77.

Now the hand in question..

Hand #2
Five-handed I'm dealt aces in BB. Villain opens to 700 UTG, everyone folds to me I make it 2300 to go, Villain calls. Flop J 8 8 rainbow. I bet 3800, Villain calls. Turn Q.

Who likes another bet here? Who likes a c/c, thus maybe representing AK in Villain's mind? Also, what are your follow up actions on the river for each (assuming you don't get raised if you bet)? What do you put Villain on if he simply calls your bet on the turn? What do you put him on if he bets turn after you check?

I did not include c/r as an option because I think Villain folds everything on turn except an 8, T9, JJ/QQ if faced with a c/r.

I'll go into river action after some discussion on turn play.

I'm sorry if the example hand wasn't good. Ignore it if it makes you think he's a calling station that will always payoff because he def isn't.

Well your hand example is a little weird, given your description of the opponent. So that makes it a little hard to comment. Also you say that you might c/c the turn, which might make him think you have AK. But no good player would put you on AK there. AA/KK/AQ are all much more likely than AK, which I would expect you to c/f and not c/c. That being said, I'd probably c/c the turn and then bet/fold the river.

If you lead the turn, I don't think you get called (or raised) by much you can beat. If you check I think you might induce bets you can call from a lot of hands you have beat. These include QJ / Qx / Jx / air bluffing hoping you have AK.

I think the hand is interesting. I check.

So if I c/c the turn does my hand look more like AA KK or AQ to Villain? Is AJs a possibility as well?

If I c/c, what is your move on the river for A, K, Q/J, T/9, or 8 respectively?
