Default Should I go for my bonus?

I have a $50 bonus expiring in 4 days. I need 500 fpp and I have 430 right now after almost 6 months of play.

I do not play a lot each day, just 50 hands because my time is almost always divided. In total I have played 5,000 hands ( I know it isn't very many hands and that is why I am asking) since June and after starting with a loss @ .50/1.00 I am up $40 overall playing .25/.50 to get my on the plus side.

Should I sit with the Bonus (which I will get if I get the points) money ($50) at the .50/1.00 table and try to get the necessary points.

at pokerstars, right? If yes, at 0.5/1 you might get 1FPP per 5 hands (ballpark guestimate only and I havnt opened PT to check) cos you need an $8 pot to get a FPP. So, if you think you can play at least 350 hands before the bonus expires and not play crap because its a higher limit then you could go for it.

BTW there might have been better places to post this (NC thread or bonuses forum) but I wont move or lockit at this time. Wookie might though

After having had my head handed to me the last time I play .50/1.00 I am a little bit wary

I guess I would rather not have to play at a level I would be nervous about and have to play for a longer session than I normally would. Sounds like a recipe for trouble.

Thanks for the replies

I just checked 20 hands of .5/1 FR and 5 of them were raked. If that were an accurate indicator, you'd get 2.5 FPPs per orbit, and at 75 cents per orbit, it would cost you 70/2.5 x .75 = $21 to get there. In those 28 orbits you'll get AA and KK about once each, so you can gamble it up with just those two hands and go for the big score.

Based on my data (360 FPP in 13k hands, 50 hands/hr/table), you can do it in 13 hours 4-tabling at 0.25/0.50. This should be possible in 4 days.

Well it took 474 hands and a loss of $35.75 @ the .50/1.00 table to get my $50.00 bonus. I won't bore you with some of the loss but had AA cracked 2 times and 3 sets cracked but that's poker

The one thing I did notice and it may be that those beats I took colors the way I am thinking but people at .50/1.00 show down better hands than .25/.50 and that people play tighter pre-flop. I did do a bit more blind stealing.
