I really didn't know how to proceed with that donk bet, but the board isn't super drawy and i figured i might be in a WA/WB situation on the flop. My thought was to call the flop and call one more medium sized bet, but to fold to more pressure than that.

What line do you take for the rest of the hand after this flop action?

I prob bet turn for starters

and then can decide if vbet is good for river if villian just calls.

Isn't betting the turn bad if we are WA/WB? It seemed to me to be that kind of situation. No reads, but typically i'm not getting many worse hands to call me on the turn.

Dry board + PTSB villian donkbet = pot control. I like checking the turn against passive postflop opponent.

It's really not THAT dry. The eight adds more potential draws. Villain being passive is exactly why I bet, as he'll definitely let us know if we're dead, allowing us to play perfectly.

KJ/QJ still call a medium-sized turn bet. If he checkraises, or calls/leads the river, congratulations, because you got to set your own price to find out where you stood. If you bet half-pot and then fold, that's a couple of bucks better than calling two/thirds pot on the river.

Actually, I don't see anything that led the flop that strongly folding to a bet on the turn. So you can bet to charge draws, get value out of weaker hands, and gain information about where you stand.

I reraise flop and bet turn if checked to. The way played fold.

Why is checking behind weak? I think checking behind on the turn for pot control is good, and I don´t see the point why not always betting is weak? In my eyes, always betting everything on all streets is worser.
