Stud Hi (A startling finding)
I was looking over my records tonight in PT. You know the area where you can view your hands in increasing strength order, and the BB's you've made/lost.
I found something interesting in the fullhouse section. Just about everything is in the Green, until we look at the Tens-Full. Suddenly I take a big dip in the red. Normally, you'd think Tens full would be a monster money-maker. I then took a look at my other stud-accounts I had, and also noticed the same thing, I'm in the red with Tens full. ARggh, I'm not even in the red with deuces full. I then began to wonder. Is this just a statistical anomaly, or does everyone else suffer some sort of hit in this area? I have a theory to explain this. I suspect when I have three tens, the # of straights out there is so diminished, that when ever I get the ACTION that I think I want with my ten's full, I'm always getting a much higher bias in STRONGER hands (like other full houses/quads) etc. And conversely, there are less made straights that can pay me off for when I actually am ahead. Or am I just full of it here? |
