[/ QUOTE ] Agreed, though I tend to be a bit biased towards teams that actually win their conference (or at least make their conference championship).

[/ QUOTE ] Yep, UGA might be playing the best football in the country right now, but they laid two big eggs during the year vs. very mediocre teams (South Carolina/Tennessee) If a playoff existed UGA would be a dangerous team (peaking at end of the year) however college football is setup such that the whole season matters alot, and 2 losses is pretty much a killer as far as a national title goes. Can anyone remember the last 2 loss team to win the national title? Or even play for it? It has to be like 15+ years... Edit: The last 2 loss team to win an AP national title was in 1960, Minnesota. Also... LOL @ Texas, down 14 just scored with 3 minutes to go to cut it to 7... missed xp, oops I meant cut it to 8.
