You could try contact people with social phobia. There are a good amount of people between them who are very brilliant but just can't stand being near other people.
They also usually live with their families and have access to internet, culture, knowledge ... etc. Problem is that these people tend to have obsessive thoughts and living isolated from society should be hard, so it must be more difficult to cope with downswings. But, really balanced people are not that easy to find (most of the winning players tilt sometimes), so it may work.
