This might be a strange question, but which player were they referring to being diabetic? It seems almost like it was Esfandiari who then ordered fruit.

Re: High Stakes Poker thread (11/5 - 500k buyin - Spoilers expected)
I thought Dyole was talking to the dealer.
In any case, GREAT episode, much improvement from the crap they've been giving us. Sammy played well I thought. By the way, I loved Doyle's fold, maybe I'm the only one. Jamie "KNEW" he had the best hand, Doyle picked up on that with that ridiculous speech Jamie gave and had to lay it down. Ruspekt. |

yeah but even a monkey could have picked up on that ridiculous speech, the speech would have made me call because it was screaming strength so much.

Re: High Stakes Poker thread (11/5 - 500k buyin - Spoilers expected)
To watch underaged internet nerds discussing live HS poker is cute and entertaining as always.
It`s as comical as a kid trying to teach his father how babies are made. I`m not gonna comment on the Doyle/Jamie hand and Doyle`s AK pf fold against Barry`s TT because when I consider all the factors both cases didn`t look very unusual to me. I like to comment on something that WAS unusual though. None can deny that Antonio played the AA hand against Barry like a retard. Some people in this thread tried to explain it as playing with scared money etc. More likely is that his strategy for this session was to stay away from confrontations with the better players at the table and focus more on Jamie and especially Guy. But even if you consider that he still played the hand horribly. So I`m gonna point out something that was probably overlooked. Antonio played on every HSP season so far and IIRC every time he had AA he lost big pots with them. I don`t know how superstitious he is but he might have thought: "Here we go again..." It`s a long shot I know but I also do know that many live pros are affected by superstition to the point that it screws up their game from time to time. As for the billionaire dude: On top of being a level 1-2 thinker he is also a huge tellbox. Vegas HS live pros must love this guy. |

Re: High Stakes Poker thread (11/5 - 500k buyin - Spoilers expected)
great episode, best HSP so far
1.lieberte is pretty bad, he played the JJJ hand pretty good, but likes floating OOP hoping to catch an ace, which is pretty much the worst play in the world. he isn't really terrible, like braindead or anything, but the sort of player who is just gonna be making alot of small -EV plays and will get killed in the longrun# 2.Gold is terrible as usual. he is such a tellbox. doyle owned him so bad. it's just a pity that gold thought he had the best hand. the speech, then the big raise was such a massive giveaway. 3.esfandiari is awesome, he's such a great player. his handreading skills are great and he really picks his spots. i think i would raise the flop with top set there and call a shove with 100BB's, but have hardly any experience 400BB deep so his line was certainly reasonable in the situation. 4.please please please can PA felt jamie next episode. 5.sammy was playing pretty good tonight, really toned down his game 6. talking about edges, here is my opinion big edge = PA, antonio edge = doyle, barry slight edge = benyamine slight donater = farha big donater = guy and jamie |

Re: High Stakes Poker thread (11/5 - 500k buyin - Spoilers expected)
[ QUOTE ]
When the spade hit I couldnt picture a way that all the money would get in the middle. When Jamie C/R I tried to figure out a way that Doyle could win the hand and I couldn't. I knew he wouldn't reraise, thought he might call but fold to a river bet, then figured he would probably fold the turn. So needless to say, it didn't surprise me in the least (i was way more surprised a couple hands later when he folded AK). I'm definitely not a NL expert but I did play in an uncapped NL game with a couple of maniacs for a couple of months, so Ive been in plenty of situations where Ive folded hands that were shoves in a 100BB game [/ QUOTE ] finally someone says it! nh sir |
