Re: A tough one against Marcel
I really don't agree with this. You have three players calling the flop and turn, and then the most obvious draw gets there on the end. I know it's vogue to never take your foot off the gas around here, but I see getting raised on the river as pretty likely - and if you check, someone may bet a worse jack or something else anyway.
In addition, when you see this particular villain calling the turn, I would be somewhat concerned - he often plays big pairs passively when OOP in multiway pots. Jeff |

Re: A tough one against Marcel
What about c/ring the flop, will one of the other players in lp bet if c'd to in this spot.
I would bet that river. |

Re: A tough one against Marcel
I've seen him playing Aces this way before. And I don't necessarily agree that he played them "poorly". He took a risk of letting people draw cheaply but probably extracted more than he would've with aggressive play, getting it h/u on the flop.
It is a question of read, but as played, you shoud bet the river. He is more likely to have middle pair or AQ+ than big pair. |

Re: A tough one against Marcel
lol...hello everyone. my first post...I have played with marcel before, in vegas and borgata...and he is consistent with the way he plays his over-pairs. For some reason he'll play them really strong pre-flop then slow down afterwards. Awkward yea, but he is consistent and it seems to work for him. HELLO BRIAN! i found ya!
