Re: More Progress on WV Table Games
[ QUOTE ]
In addition, Jefferson County will be able to use its table games revenues for education spending to help that county meet the needs of its growing community. [/ QUOTE ] I think this is what Chucktown people were waiting for. This makes a positive vote outcome in Jefferson County much more likely. |

I think this is what Chucktown people were waiting for. This makes a positive vote outcome in Jefferson County much more likely. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, this was a critical addition in the WV Senate. Also note, that it is the Northern Panhandle Casinos, Wheeling Island, and Mountaineer that are going to have the special elections in June. The other two counties are expected to take things much slower because the economy in those areas are much better, so there is going to be more opposition to it passing there. |

Re: More Progress on WV Table Games
[ QUOTE ]
I don't think we want to bombard them with spam and hate messages as they will likely use that to convince people against the pro-gamblers, but logical and reasoned feedback couldn't hurt. I'm sending one now. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think you should send spam or hate messages either. However, as a pro-gambling advocate, you will never be seen as logical and reasoned, to use your own adjectives. I've found that these types of groups are unwavering in their ignorant opinion, which I suppose is not really a very novel thing for me to point out. Nonetheless, I'm usually appalled by the lack of professionalism and neolithic-style social values promoted on their sites. For example, just take a quick look at some of this group's accomplishments: West Virginia Family Foundation "Accomplishments" How you manage to proudly (and often arrogantly) post this this [censored] on a website and not get laughed out of town in 2007 blows my mind. Well, sorta. |

Re: More Progress on WV Table Games
It looks like the county near Charleston, WV is set to vote on June 9th.
Article I read on another site that if approved, they expect to be offering table games almost immediately in existing space. However, not sure if this would include poker. |

Re: More Progress on WV Table Games

[ QUOTE ] On any given weeknight in Pittsburgh you have at least 20 5-10nl tables going in various local games. [/ QUOTE ] You're significantly low on that "at least". [/ QUOTE ] Are you saying there are many more? I said 20 because I didn't want to exaggerate ,but if you say thats low I believe it. I am familiar with quite a few games that run. If you know of more is it ok to pm you for info and we can compare games. Also this is the first time I have visited this thread in weeks. The idea of 40 poker tables at Moutaineer would be fantastic. Considering there is only about 30-40 in the whole Niagara Falls area, including all 3 local casinos, that would be making quite a significant investment in making poker work. Outside of Cali and Vegas that would be among the bigger rooms in the country. AC only has 2 rooms of that size. Anyone who posted asking for info about poker games in Pittsburgh area feel free to pm for details. |
